Liverpool's MP's

Our MP's should be supporting our interests. You can email them to raise your concerns/seek support.

Marie Curie

Marie Curie closed the Liverpool inpatient unit citing financial sustainability. Its Board and Trustees carry governance responsibility for how charitable funds are used.

Key contacts:

  • Matthew Reed - Chief Executive Officer

  • Kevin Parry OBE - Chair

The ICB - NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board

The ICB is the fund holder for palliative care in Liverpool. It is responsible for commissioning specialist services and for ensuring Liverpool's population receives adequate care.

Key contacts:

  • Liz Bishop - Chief Executive Officer

  • Sir David Henshaw - Chairman

ICB's stated vision: "For the adults, children and young people of Cheshire & Merseyside to live well, before dying with peace and dignity, in the place where they would like to die, supported by the people important to them - with no postcode lottery."

We are asking: how does the current provision of specialist inpatient hospice beds in Liverpool square with this vision?

Liverpool City Council

Liverpool City Council and its 85 councillors represent the people of Liverpool. We are asking for transparency and a clear statement of position on hospice provision.

"We are asking for transparency, evidence, and accountability. What is the Council's position?"
